BitSummit
Japan's largest indie game festival, organised by the Japan Independent Games Association (JIGA), held 21-23 May 2027 at Miyako Messe, Kyoto.

Fees

• Entry fee: ¥2,750 per title (non-refundable screening fee)
• Exhibition fee: ¥33,000 per booth, payable after passing the screening
• Student discount: ¥11,000 per booth, with student ID verification

Payment methods

Credit card (Stripe), PayPal, or domestic bank transfer.

Developer eligibility

• Development team of approximately 50 people or fewer
• Annual game business revenue under ¥25,000,000
• Titles that may infringe third-party rights cannot be exhibited
• Permission from the IP holder is required for derivative works

Eligible works

Games must be planned and developed by the applicant, comply with CERO ethical guidelines, and must not:

• Contain expressions prohibited under CERO guidelines
• Be equivalent to a CERO "Z" rating
• Hold, or be likely to receive, a 17+ (MATURE) rating overseas

Booth specification

• One table (180cm × 45cm), two chairs, two power outlets (750W total)
• Internet access is not provided
• No parking is available for load-in or load-out
• Projection onto walls or neighbouring booths is prohibited
• PCs, displays and other equipment must be supplied by the exhibitor

Sales and booth placement

Sales within your own space are permitted at your own responsibility, with prices clearly displayed. The organisers are not liable for loss, theft or damage. Booth placement is decided by the organisers and cannot be exchanged between exhibitors.

Entry rules

• Only titles that pass the screening may be exhibited
• One title per application. Submit separately for each additional title
• One booth is available per approved title
• BitSummit is an event for developers, so please apply as the developer yourself
• Exhibitors are asked to attend all three days. Contact us in advance if this is not possible
• English materials for your controls are recommended for overseas visitors

After entry

1. Screening results are sent by email in mid-to-late March 2027
2. Please confirm your participation within about one week
3. If you decline or do not reply by the deadline, the next team on the list will be contacted
4. After confirmation we will send payment details for the ¥33,000 exhibition fee
